After playing in the band Der Kinky Fox, completing the "On the Beat" tour, and following the second and third albums for the Brooklyn, Bronx & Queens Band and recording & performing with Mtume, I put together another band to play locally called Flique (pronounced "Flick"). The band was a collection of some of New York City's best musicians/performers, accomplished songwriters/producers, and session musicians. We all had one thing in common; we loved to perform.

Flique performed shows from New York to Canada with a "take no prisoner" approach. I thank each one of those fine musicians for being a part of that musical journey. I was blessed to have those gentlemen as friends and bandmates for they could have been doing anything else. Some of the  artists that Flique band members have written for, produced, and or performed with include: Glen Jones, Jennifer Holiday, Billy Ocean, Tom Jones, Atlantic Starr, Smokey Robinson, Millie Jackson, D'Angelo, Alex Bugnon, BT Express, The Bar Kays, Melba Moore, George Benson, Lou Rawls, Najee, Change, Stanley Clarke, Pieces of a Dream, Jeffery Osborne, BB&Q Band, Mtume, Cheryl Lynn, Freddie Jackson, Gwen Guthrie, Bobbi Humphrey, Patti LaBelle, Sarah Dash, Lucio Dalla, and others.
